Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Slab apps and services — Slab Reader (iPad), Slab Pad (desktop), the Slab website and your Slab account — operated by E Labs Collection Ltd (company no. 17383365), registered in England and trading as E_Labs ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the services you agree to them.
The service
Slab Reader stores your documents and annotations so they sync across your devices and, if you choose, to AI assistants you connect. Plans include a document storage allowance; storage add-ons purchased on any platform apply to your whole Slab account. We may change features over time; if we materially reduce what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you first.
Subscriptions and billing
- App Store purchases are billed, renewed, cancelled and refunded through Apple, under Apple's terms. Manage them in your App Store subscription settings.
- Web purchases (including Slab Pad licences) are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, under their terms.
- If a subscription lapses, your content remains readable and exportable; adding new content may be restricted while you're over your storage allowance.
Your content
- It stays yours. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, back up and serve it to you and to assistants you connect.
- You're responsible for having the rights to what you upload. Slab is a private library, not a publishing platform — but we'll act on lawful notices about infringing or unlawful content, and we may remove such content or suspend accounts that host it.
- Don't abuse the service: no attempts to breach other users' data, overwhelm the API, or use the service for unlawful material.
AI assistants
Connecting an assistant authorises it to read your library and write annotations and replies through your account until you revoke its access. Your relationship with the AI provider — including their handling of anything the assistant reads — is between you and them.
Availability and liability
We aim for the service to be fast and dependable, but it's provided "as is" and we can't promise uninterrupted availability. Keep the "keep offline" copies you care about. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before a claim. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, or excludes liability we cannot lawfully exclude.
Ending things
You can stop at any time: cancel renewals with Apple or Lemon Squeezy and delete your account in the app, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these terms, with notice where practicable.
The legal frame
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to its courts (or your local courts where consumer law gives you that right). If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Questions: support@slab-apps.com.
